About this event

Please note that all times listed are CENTRAL time.

The past year has reframed the future of work and, by necessity, has reframed health and health benefits too. As we learned last year, Zeev Neuwirth, physician and author, stressed the need to reframe, redesign, and reorganize to thrive in this new world. We learned that we must bring fresh perspectives, new ideas, and bold solutions to both the old problems that aren’t going away and the new challenges that await us.

Now that work, health, and health benefits have been reframed, we have a new value-proposition that requires redesigning critical benefit and well-being approaches. Register to attend and learn:

Why you should redesign your health benefits and health/well-being programs through an equity lens. You need to understand the needs of subpopulations in your workforce that carry a disproportionate burden of disease if you ever expect to improve the health of your workforce! Taking this approach will pay off for improved health, increased productivity and recruitment/retention, and, ultimately, lower cost. Learn from Andrea Willis, MD, Chief Medical Officer of BCBS of Tennessee and Tsveta Polhemus of NCQA to get tips and practical approaches on steps you can take to better inform your overall health benefit strategies.

How you should evaluate options as you redesign your pharmacy benefit programs. Learn how to sift through the many options that are thrown your way to identify those that fundamentally address the underlying reasons your pharmacy benefits don't perform at desired levels. Tracy Spencer with Pharmaceutical Strategies Group (PSG) and Josh Golden with Capital Rx will give you critical insights in a candid, lively, back-and-forth session.

What it takes to fix a behavioral health care system that is not meeting the needs of your employees and their families. Learn how employers can be catalysts for this needed change and work with your TPAs, vendors, and other strategic partners to redesign the system for you and your employees. Carol Alter, MD of the University of Texas at Austin and Melissa Fitzgerald of Consumer Medical will lay out the issues and provide a practical step employers can take now to bridge the gap as longer term fixes to the behavioral health care system are made.

The significant return on investment you can earn by redesigning your health strategy to include deployment of an evidence-based 10 pillar model and rigorous business practices. Ray Fabius MD of HealthNext will lead a discussion of a panel of employers from First Horizon, DTE Energy, and Baird Financial Services on the performance, productivity, and health improvement rewards that can be achieved with this approach.

Attend MBGH’s conference where you will hear first-hand from these national and regional experts how to roll up your sleeves and redesign your health benefits and well-being programs to achieve higher performance and deliver positive business results in this post-pandemic world.
